After starring on screen (and showing off her pipes) in Supergirl and Glee, Melissa Benoist will make her Broadway debut as Carole King in Beautiful. Prior to taking center stage June 7 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, she met the press and offered a taste of her take on the music legend. Benoist succeeds longtime Beautiful headliner Chillina Kennedy, playing a limited engagement through August 4.

Her additional screen credits include Whiplash and crossover episodes of Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash (including the musical episode “Duet”), and Arrow.
