The Cher Show, the new Broadway musical that opened December 3 at the Neil Simon Theatre, received a special visit from the icon herself, when Cher appeared during the show’s curtain call and joined the cast for a special performance of her hit song "Turn Back Time."

Tony Award-winning Jersey Boys book writer Rick Elice wrote the book for the musical that incorporates 35 of Cher's songs, from her career-launching 1965 duet with Sonny Bono, "I Got You Babe," to her 2013 dance album Closer to The Truth. Jason Moore (Avenue Q, Pitch Perfect) directs, with choreography by Tony winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies, South Pacific).
A trio of actors portray Cher at definitive moments in her evolution as an artist. Tony Award nominee Stephanie J. Block (Falsettos, Wicked) as a "modern day" Cher guides audiences through her journey, joined by Teal Wicks (Wicked, Finding Neverland) and Micaela Diamond (NBC’s recent live Jesus Christ Superstar), who bring to life the early decades of her career—which has spanned six decades of show business.
The costumes for the show are by nine-time Emmy Award-winning designer Bob Mackie, who has collaborated with Cher over the years on myriad iconic looks, dating back to her 1967 appearance on The Carol Burnett Show.
