Oscar-nominated and Golden Globe-winning actor Julie Walters was recently named Dame Commander of the British Empire at Buckingham Palace.

To celebrate, the cast of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again surprised their co-star with a lip-synced rendition of “There Is Nothing Like a Dame” from South Pacific.

“The Queen said, ‘It’s so marvellous that you’ve got this, I’m so pleased,’ and ’How long have you been doing acting?’” Walters told the BBC. “I said, ‘43 years,’ and she said, ‘In so many different things, well done.‘”

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is the sequel to the original film version of the stage musical Mamma Mia! The first film starred Meryl Streep, Christine Baranski, Walters, Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, and Stellan Skarsgård. Walters played the role of Rosie in the film, one of hotel owner Donna’s best childhood friends who comes to Greece for the wedding of Donna’s daughter, Sophie. Walters performed such ABBA hits as “Super Trooper” and “Take a Chance on Me.”

Walters will reprise her role in the movie sequel, set for a July 2018 release. The cast welcomes back more of the 2008 movie’s original stars: Streep as Donna, Baranski as Tanya, Seyfried as Sophie, and Dominic Cooper as Sky. The cast also features Andy Garcia, Lily James, Alexa Davies, Jessica Keenan Wynn, Jeremy Irvine, Josh Dylan, and Hugh Skinner.

Dame Walters first broke out in Educating Rita nearly 35 years ago. Since then, she has most recognizably starred in Billy Elliot (the film that inspired the Tony-winning musical) as Mrs. Wilkinson and the Harry Potter film franchise as Mrs. Weasley. She is featured in the upcoming release Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool as well as the highly anticipated Mary Poppins Returns.
