Matt DeAngelis' third annual celebration of his late mother raised funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

See Broadway Newsies and Wicked star Kara Lindsay sing Shania Twain and Robert John "Mutt" Lange's iconic 1997 song "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" at the 2025 Janice Jam benefit concert in the exclusive video above. The performance played Sony Hall May 5, with proceeds benefiting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation's funding to find a cure for metastatic breast cancer.

The event raised more than $115,000 for the Foundation, a total that is still climbing via a silent auction at Playbill.com/TheJaniceJam.

Along with Lindsay, the evening's talent roster included Sarrah Strimel, Caroline Bowman, Hunter Brown, Omar Jose Cardona, Bobby Conte, Jenn Colella, Brent Comer, Kayla Davion, Matt DeAngelis, Ariana DeBose, Lissa deGuzman, Wayne Duvall, Christine Dwyer, Adrian Blake Enscoe, John Gallagher, Jr., Jeremy Jordan, Lauren Patten, Rachel Potter, Maia Reficco, Daniel Quadrino, Krysta Rodriguez, Stark Sands, Marty Thomas, Nik Walker, and Morgan Anita Wood.

The evening also featured the presentation of the first Fighting Flamingo Award to Smash star Rodriguez to commemorate her fight against the disease and work in helping to find a cure. (Lindsay and Strimel are also breast cancer survivors.) Stage IV breast cancer thriver Tami Eagle Bowling also presented her own story, after which she got a surprise performance from her 15-year-old daughter Ashley Bowling, singing a duet with breast cancer thriver Bentley.

Founded by Broadway performer Matt DeAngelis in memory of his mother Janice, who passed from metastatic breast cancer in 2022, this annual event serves as a celebration of Janice and her love for theatre while raising money for those affected by metastatic breast cancer.

“The Janice Jam isn’t just a concert—it’s a rallying cry,” said DeAngelis during the show.

The event was executive-produced by DeAngelis and Bryan Campione with Kim Blair, Ember Productions (Amber Coates, Maxwell Haddad, and Katie Michelle Stahl), Larkin Bogan, Tami Eagle Bowling, Katie Michelle Stahl, and PJ Adzima. Jen Ash was the production stage manager, and Alice M. Pollitt was assistant stage manager. Benjamin Rauhala music directed. A pre-show set featured DJ Choppy and Astroband, and an afterparty was hosted at Hurley's.
