Video Watch: Bernadette Peters Remembers Her 1st Time Meeting Stephen Sondheim

Plus, the Tony winner says the most professional actor she's ever worked with was...a dog.

Tony winner Bernadette Peters appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers October 23 to talk about her upcoming Carnegie Hall concert, and the Broadway favorite brought lots of good theatre stories with her!

Highlights include how the Sunday in the Park With George and Into the Woods star first met Stephen Sondheim, how the most professional actor she's ever worked with was a dog (don't worry, she explains), memories from hosting Saturday Night Live in 1981, and more. Watch above.

A Tony winner for her work in Song and Dance and Annie Get Your Gun (as well as an Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award honoree), Peters is currently readying to make a Broadway return in Stephen Sondheim's Old Friends at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre via Manhattan Theatre Club. Previews begin March 25, 2025 ahead of an April 8 opening night.
