Sesame Street the Musical, based on the beloved TV series, is now running Off-Broadway at Theatre 555. See two songs from the musical in the video above, shot and edited by Playbill's Video Editor Ethan Treiman. The video features "But I Like You," sung by Bert and Ernie, and "C is for Cookie," sung by Cookie Monster.
In the musical, fans can hear familiar songs from the TV show, plus new compositions by Tom Kitt (Almost Famous), Helen Park (KPOP), and Nate Edmondson.
Sesame Street, presented by Rockefeller Productions and Sesame Workshop, features Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, Grover, and more favorite characters from the TV series. After a sold-out run in fall 2022, the musical returned July 29, and has since extended through December 31. The show is written, directed, and produced by Jonathan Rockefeller.
