Brody Grant and Sky Lakota-Lynch, the Tony-nominated stars of The Outsiders, journeyed far from New York December 11 to perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Fittingly, the duo performed the show's emotional ballad "Far Away From Tulsa."
Grant and Lakota-Lynch were joined by the shows composers, Jonathan Clay and Zach Chance, who make up the folk band Jamestown Revival. Check out video of the quartet's performance above.
Currently running at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre where the musical opened April 11, The Outsiders is adapted from S.E. Hinton's novel and Francis Ford Coppola's film adaptation. Set in 1967 Tulsa, Oklahoma, the musical follows Ponyboy Curtis, Johnny Cade, and their chosen family of "outsiders," who are in a fight for survival and a quest for purpose in a world that may never accept them. The musical features a book by Adam Rapp with Justin Levine and music and lyrics by Jamestown Revival and Levine.
