It's a privilege to see this cast. Rehearsals are underway for Urinetown at New York City Center, and Playbill has the first look footage. Above, see Keala Settle, Jordan Fisher, and Kevin Cahoon sing "It's a Privilege to Pee" and below, watch Fisher and Stephanie Styles perform "Follow Your Heart."
With a score by Tony winners Mark Hollmann and Greg Kotis and a book by Kotis, Urinetown examines the darkest dilemmas of humanity, skewering everything from capitalism to environmental activism. It takes place in a town where, after a long draught, urinating comes with a fee.
Casting is by Tara Rubin Casting's Kevin Metzger-Timson.
The 2025 Encores! series also includes Love Life (March 26–30), directed by Victoria Clark; and Wonderful Town (April 30–May 11), directed by Zhailon Levingston.
