The Bobby Darin musical will open April 26 at Circle in the Square.

Broadway's Bobby Darin musical Just in Time began previews March 31, and star Gracie Lawrence swung by The Kelly Clarkson Show April 17 to give audiences a taste of her performance as Connie Francis.

Lawrence, of the band Lawrence and the television show The Sex Lives of College Girls, makes her Broadway musical debut as Francis, who was one of the great loves of Darin's life. Check out her performance of Francis' trademark tune, "Who's Sorry Now," above.

The musical, which pulls back the curtain on Darin's time at the Copacabana, is set to officially open April 26, with an opening celebration April 23. The production plays Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre, which has been transformed into the intimate nightclub.

Tony winner Alex Timbers is at the helm of the immersive staging. The show tracks Darin's life story and features Tony winner Jonathan Groff performing his greatest hits, including "Beyond the Sea," "Splish Splash," and "Mack the Knife."

With Jonathan Groff starring as Darin, the musical also features Erika Henningsen (Mean Girls), Tony winner Michele Pawk (Wicked), Joe Barbara (A Bronx Tale The Musical), Drama Desk nominee Emily Bergl (Good Night, Oscar), Lawrence (The Sex Lives of College Girls), Lance Roberts (The Music Man), Caesar Samayoa (Come From Away), Christine Cornish (Kiss Me, Kate), Julia Grondin (Funny Girl), Valeria Yamin (Moulin Rouge!), John Treacy Egan (My Fair Lady), Tari Kelly (Mr. Saturday Night), Matt Magnusson (A Wonderful World), Khori Michelle Petinaud (Lempicka), and Larkin Reilly (Bad Cinderella).

The work, developed by Timbers and based on an original concept by Ted Chapin, features a book by Tony winner Warren Leight and Isaac Oliver (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel). Shannon Lewis choreographs with music supervision and arrangements by Andrew Resnick.

The production also features scenic design by two-time Tony winner Derek McLane (Death Becomes Her), costume design by eight-time Tony winner Catherine Zuber (Moulin Rouge!), lighting design by Tony winner Justin Townsend (Here Lies Love), and sound design by Tony winner Peter Hylenski (Maybe Happy Ending).

Scott Rowen is the production stage manager, and Live Wire Theatrical is the general manager. Tom Kirdahy, Robert Ahrens, John Frost, and Groff are producing.

Groff won a Tony Award last year for his performance in the Tony-winning revival of Merrily We Roll Along, and has also appeared on Broadway in Spring Awakening and Hamilton.
