Tony Awards Video: David Zinn Reacts to 2024 Best Scenic Design Tony Win for Stereophonic

This is Zinn's third Tony Award off of his 10th nomination.

David Zinn has received the 2024 Tony Award for Best Scenic Design of a Play at the 2024 Tony Awards for Stereophonic. Watch Zinn's reaction to his win in the video above, in an interview with Playbill's Jeffrey Vizcaíno.

This is Zinn's third Tony Award off of his 10th nomination. He previously received the award for Best Scenic Design of a Play for The Humans and Best Scenic Design of a Musical for SpongeBob Squarepants.

"These awards are always an acknowledgement of a larger group of people...everybody involved...they're doing an incredible job, and that's the pride of it too," Zinn says. "I was the first one for Stereophonic so that feels really exciting, it just feels like you're the elected to kind of represent the team, and it's a wonderful team to represent."

Stereophonic also received the awards for Best Featured Actor (Will Brill) and Best Sound Design (Ryan Rumery) so far. The production is the most Tony-nominated play in history with 13 nods.
