May 27: Based on the animated film of the same name, Anastasia, the new musical from the Tony-winning Ragtime team, Lynn Ahrens, Stephen Flaherty and Terrence McNally, officially opens at Hartford Stage under the direction of Tony winner Darko Tresnjak.
LAST CHANCE
May 29: Tuck Everlasting, the new musical about a magical spring of immortality, closes on Broadway. The production stars three-time Tony Award nominee Carolee Carmello and Andrew Keenan-Bolger as her son.
SPECIAL EVENTS
May 26-27: Two-time Tony winner Sutton Foster makes her Boston Pops debut with two evenings of song and dance, reprising many of her Broadway hits.
May 29: Catch the star-studded line-up of performers at the annual Memorial Day concert, broadcast live on PBS from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. Co-hosted by Tony winner Joe Mantegna and Emmy winner Gary Sinise, the event features performances by Renee Fleming, The Beach Boys and Katharine McPhee.
June 3: The free outdoor concert Stars in the Alley returns for another year, hosted by Sean Hayes and Mo Rocca. Participating shows performing in Shubert Alley include Waitress, Wicked, Bright Star, American Psycho and many more.
