Benefits and Galas Tovah Feldshuh, Allan K. Washington, More Complete Cast for Keen Company's Light Up the Sky Benefit Reading

The reading of Moss Hart's play will be directed by Keen Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein.

Stage favorites Tovah Feldshuh and Allan K. Washington will be joining the previously announced Arnie Burton, Jason TamAri'el Stachel, and more in Keen Company's benefit reading of Light Up the Sky. The event is set for April 25 at 7 PM at Theatre Row. 

Written by Moss Hart, the work originally premiered on Broadway in 1948, telling the story of a group of New York performers eagerly awaiting the reception for their recent try-out. Directed by Jonathan Silverstein, proceeds from the gala will go towards the Off-Broadway theatre company's upcoming season and programs, including Keen's Playwrights Lab and Keen Teens.

Along with Feldshuh, Washington, Burton, Tam, and Stachel, the cast will feature Andrew Dawson, Kelly McAndrew, Matt Servitto, Kayce Wilson, Jasminn Johnson, Lauren Molina, and Reg Rogers.

Four-time Tony nominee Feldshuh has starred in the Broadway productions of Pippin, Golda's Balcony, Lend Me a Tenor, and Yentl. She has also been nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards for her television work in Holocaust and Law & Order. Additional screen credits include Scenes From A Marriage, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and The Walking Dead.

Washington was last spotted on Broadway in Once On This Island and SpongeBob Squarepants: The Broadway Musical.

Past productions from the Drama Desk Award-winning company include revivals of Adam Gwon's Ordinary Days and Jonathan Larson's tick, tick...BOOM!. The company most recently produced Peter Gil-Sheridan's This Space Between Us.
