Cabaret & Concert News Tony Nominee Lauren Worsham Plans Brooklyn Concert with Her Band Sky-Pony, the husband-wife duo with Kyle Jarrow, will debut new songs in May.

Lauren Worsham, who earned a Tony nomination for her Broadway debut as Phoebe D’Ysquith in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, returns to her alter ego, lead singer in the indie art-rock band Sky-Pony, May 10 as part of the New York Festival of Song/Next series at National Sawdust in Brooklyn.

Performing with her songwriter husband, Obie-winner Kyle Jarrow, Worsham and the band will premiere several new songs at the 7 PM concert.

Worsham and Jarrow described the band’s sound as “genre-bending performances mixing theater, indie music and ceremony. With our NYFOS Next show we plan to showcase the many diverse sides of our sound, from new music to indie pop. Audiences can expect the unexpected with a side of divas, glitter and rock. And some new songs!”

Also in the band: Kristin Piacentile and Jessi Suzuki on backup vocals, David Blasher on cello, Eric Day on bass, Perry Silver on drums, and
Kevin Wunderlich on guitar.

National Sawdust is located at 80 North 6th Street in Brooklyn. Tickets cost $35 in advance, $40 at the door, and can be ordered at Nationalsawdust.org
