Off-Broadway News Tom Stoppard's Arcadia Extends Off-Broadway at the West End Theatre

Bedlam's production of Stoppard's play begins performances at the end of this month.

Bedlam Theater Company's production of Tom Stoppard's Arcadia has extended its run at the Off-Broadway prior to beginning performances on October 27. Originally slated for a five-week run, the production will play the West End Theatre December 10 with an official opening night set for November 11.

Taking place between centuries, Arcadia explores truth and time, the disruptive influence of sex, and the an exploration of how attitudes change with the era. Eric Tucker will direct.

The cast of Arcadia will include Alan Altschuler, Lisa Birnbaum, Shaun Taylor Corbett, Caroline Grogan, Deychen Volino-Gyetsa, Mike Labbadia, Arash Mokhtar, Randolph Curtis Rand, Jamie “Smitty” Smithson, Zuzanna Szadkowski, Devin Vega, and Elan Zafir.

The production will include a "Pay What You Can" performance October 27 with a minimum of $20 per ticket. The run will also feature $10 rush tickets for students, veterans, and current service members.

In addition to Arcadia, Bedlam will present Tucker's production of Tony Kushner's Angels in America at Cambridge, Massachusetts' Central Square Theater. Millennium Approaches and Perestroika, co-produced with Central Square Theater, will run in repertory this fall. Performances will begin September 8.

Stoppard recently became the most-winning playwright in Tony history with his 2023 win for Leopoldstadt.
