The opening day of the box office for Titaníque's Broadway bow will be marked with a special event, offering a number of surprises March 10 beginning at 5 PM. The first 97 people in line at the St. James box office will be able to purchase tickets to select preview performance for $19.97, with a maximum of two tickets per person. This cheeky deal pays homage to the year James Cameron's Titanic premiered in movie theatres.

There will be several additional special offerings, including more ticket offers, giveaways, photo ops, an in-person lottery to win a pair of opening night tickets, a Titaníque costume contest with prizes, and a special cast appearance.

Performances are set to begin at Broadway's St. James Theatre March 26 ahead of an April 12 opening night.

Featuring a book by Mindelle, Tye Blue, and Rousouli, and a soundtrack of songs made famous by Céline Dion, Titaníque sends up the epic 1997 film about the ill-fated ocean liner, with Dion herself leading a tour at the Titanic museum to explain what really happened between Jack and Rose. The musical began as a one-night-only concert in Los Angeles in 2017, coming to New York's Green Room 42 the following year before becoming a fully staged Off-Broadway musical in 2022. Originally intended to be a limited run, the production became a surprise smash hit, transferring to the Daryl Roth Theatre for a three-year run that ended earlier this year. Since its premiere, the musical has spawned stagings in Australia, Canada, London's West End, Chicago, and Paris.

The production will star Marla Mindelle as Céline Dion, Frankie Grande (Rock of Ages) as Victor Garber, Constantine Rousouli (Wicked) as Jack Dawson, Jim Parsons (Mother Play) as Ruth Dewitt Bukater, Deborah Cox (The Wiz) as Unsinkable Molly Brown, Melissa Barrera (In the Heights) as Rose Dewitt Bukater, John Riddle (Frozen) as Cal Hockley, and Layton Williams (Everybody's Talking About Jamie) as The Iceberg. They will be joined onstage by background vocalists Sara Gallo (1776), Polanco Jones (The Wiz), and Kristina Leopold (SIX); and understudies Tess Marshall (Titaníque), Brad Greer (Titanique), and Kyle Ramar Freeman (The Wiz).

Much of this cast is coming with the musical to the Main Stem after starring in its earlier Off-Broadway bow, including show co-creators Mindelle and Rousouli, Riddle, and Grande, along with understudies Marshall and Greer. Williams is reprising his Olivier-winning turn as The Iceberg from the musical's recent London premiere.
