Singer, actor, and YouTube sensation Todrick Hall, who is currently starring on Broadway as suave lawyer Billy Flynn in Chicago following a stint as Lola in Kinky Boots, will embark on a multi-city international concert tour launching March 29, 2018, in Ventura, California.
Todrick Hall American: The Forbidden Tour is headed for stops in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Toronto, Chicago, and four dozen other cities, including an international leg that will take him to Germany, France, Japan, Australia, and other countries through the summer. Behind the Curtain: Todrick Hall, a documentary that follows the entertainer through the launch of his previous concert show, Straight Outta Oz, was released on digital platforms December 12 and on DVD December 19. The film premiered at SXSW earlier this year.
His limited engagement in Chicago is scheduled to continue through January 14, 2018 at the Ambassador Theatre.
In addition to Kinky Boots, Hall has previously appeared on Broadway in Memphis and in the original production of The Color Purple. His myriad viral YouTube videos frequently draw on his affinity for musical theatre and have featured such stage alums as Shoshana Bean, Jay Armstrong Johnson, and Alex Newell (currently on Broadway in Once on This Island).
