International News Theatre Group Asia Will Present International Premiere of The Notebook This Fall

Tony-winning Broadway designer Clint Ramos founded the company focusing on producing works led by Filipino creatives and performers.

Theatre Group Asia will present the international premiere of The Notebook this fall. The company—founded by the Tony Award-winning theatre designer Clint Ramos—will bring the musical to the Philippines next September, with dates and a venue to be announced.

The musical adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' novel and the 2004 film The Notebook had a run at Broadway's Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in 2024. Featuring a book by Bekah Brunstetter and a score by Ingrid Michaelson, The Notebook follows Allie and Noah, who share a lifetime of love despite forces that threaten to pull them apart. 

The Theatre Group Asia production of The Notebook was announced via an Instagram post revealing TGA's 2026-27 season, which will also include the Philippine premiere of Ang Tahanan ni Bernarda Alba, and the Philippine premiere of Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park with George.

Theatre Group Asia's next production, for its 2025–2026 season, is Marvin Hamlisch and Edward Kleban's A Chorus Line, starring Conrad Ricamora, Angelo Soriano, Michaela Marfori, Renée Albulario, and more March 12–29 at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater in Manila. Karla Puno Garcia directs and choreographs.

The company also recently brought Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods to Manila with Lea Salonga, Arielle Jacobs, and more in the cast.
