Mischief Theatre, the British comedy troupe that crossed the pond to bring The Play That Goes Wrong to Broadway earlier this year, will return to London’s West End with Mischief Movie Night. The improvised comedy show will take audience suggestions (genre, title, et cetera) to present a live “movie” onstage.
The limited holiday engagement will run at the Arts Theatre from December 13 through January 27, 2018.
Several performers who made their Broadway debuts in The Play That Goes Wrong (currently Broadway’s longest-running play) will star in the show, including Artistic Director Henry Lewis, Company Director Jonathan Sayer, Dave Hearn, Charlie Russell, and Henry Sheilds. Joining them are Josh Elliot, Harry Kershaw, and Ellie Morris, plus musicians Chris Ash and Richard Baker.
The group takes on a series of confusingly titled roles, such as “Uncertain,” “No Idea,” “Couldn’t Tell You,” and “Guess Who.”
