The Vietnam War-set love story about a soldier separated from his Vietnamese love features Mel Sagrado Maghuyop (Engineer), Melinda Chua (Kim), Eric Kunze (Chris) and Kate Fahrner (Ellen) and Brian Jose (Thuy). Taking inspiration from the Puccini opera Madama Butterfly, Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil, composers of Les Miserables, collaborated with Richard Maltby, Jr. to create the international hit.

With this extension, Maghuyop (formerly playing Thuy) and Jose are new to their principal roles.
