Dance company The Chase Brock Experience will return to NYC this spring with Come Home, a new dance piece. Led by Broadway choreographer Chase Brock, (Be More Chill, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark), the company will play a strictly limited seven-performance engagement at A.R.T./New York Theatres April 8-12.

Directed and choreographed by Brock, the piece emulates a crew of restless mariners hurling themselves through salt and spray toward first light. Eric Dietz has created an original score and soundscape for the work.

Come Home will be danced by Chase Brock Experience members Jane Abbott, Maiko Adela, Derek Crescenti, Kaylee DaCosta, John Guaragna and MaliQ, with CBE members Parker Aimone and Maya Kazzaz serving as understudies.

The production will feature set and costume design by Brock and lighting design by Japhy Weideman

“Dance is the longest relationship in my life, so stepping into an empty room once more to carve and shape this new work with the bodies, brains and hearts of the cherished artists of my company feels like coming home indeed...Being reunited with the lighting of Japhy Weideman and the music of Eric Dietz feels just right for this particular dance, fueled by treasured 19th Century–English shanties and inspired by the mystery, poetry, and siren song of the sea,” said Brock in a statement.

An official opening performance is slated for April 10, with a post-performance reception with the artists. The April 11 matinee will include a post-show talkback with the artists.

Come Home marks the Chase Brock Experience's 35th original work of dance theatre, featuring its 10th commissioned score.
