The Town Hall has announced programming for the 2025–2026 season of The Town Hall Presents, promising a vibrant lineup of theatrical concerts, symphonic storytelling, and celebratory showcases. This year’s theme—Black Brilliance, Queer Icons, Girlhood, Animated Splendor, and Spiritual Inspirations—sets the tone for a season filled with artistry, activism, and imagination.
Kicking off the season is a previously announced starry one-night-only concert staging of Opening Night, based on the cult film by John Cassavetes, with music, lyrics, and orchestrations by Rufus Wainwright. The benefit performance, held in support of the ACLU, will feature Sara Bareilles, Laura Benanti, Darren Criss, Patti LuPone, and Elizabeth Teeter.
Fan-favorites John Cameron Mitchell and Taylor Mac return to the venue for a double dose of their signature theatricality: the holiday spectacle Holiday Sauce, and John Cameron Mitchell & Friends, a summer concert evening of music and mischief.
The Sinfonietta—an all-women and majority women-of-color orchestra—will be featured prominently throughout the season. Their offerings include Symphony and Sensibility, honoring the 250th birthday of Jane Austen through sweeping musical adaptations; The Music of Taylor Swift: A Symphonic Tribute, celebrating the pop icon’s legacy; and two cinematic concert events: a Coco Live in Concert screening for Día de los Muertos and a 10th anniversary tribute to Tokyo Ghoul, performed live to picture.
In December, Ana Gasteyer will perform selections from Sugar & Booze, her 2019 album of seasonal favorites and holiday originals. This is the return of Gasteyer's holiday concert, which previously performed sold-out shows at Le Poisson Rouge.
All performances will take place at The Town Hall, located at 123 West 43rd Street.
