Named Claybourne “Bo” Philip Elder-Rosen, he is named for six prior Claybournes in the Elder family.

The couple married in 2012 and this is their first child.

Elder was most recently on Broadway as one of the soldiers in the 2017 revival of Sunday in the Park With George, where he also understudied the title role played by Jake Gyllenhaal. Prior to that, Elder made his Broadway debut in Bonnie & Clyde as Buck Barrow. Rosen is the co-founder and former artistic director of About Face Theatre in Chicago and is now the artistic director of Kansas City Repertory Theatre.

Congratulations to the new parents!
