The new work follows a young South Korean boy, represented onstage as a puppet, being "re-homed" over an online chat room with two new, queer parents who take on the project of parenting and creating a family. The work was inspired by a series of articles Jung read about Americans using social media and other sites to "re-home" unwanted children.
The production is directed by Dustin Wills, who previously directed the work at in its premiere at Soho Rep. The run is set to begin January 26 ahead of a February 14 opening night, with performances continuing through March 5 at MCC's Frankel Theater.
