News St. Ann's Warehouse Reveals Impressive New Home in Waterfront Tobacco Warehouse In a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 6, Off-Broadway theatre St. Ann's Warehouse revealed its new home in an iconic pre-civil war tobacco warehouse under the Brooklyn Bridge: a $31.6 million, 25,000-square-foot theatre.

Located in Brooklyn Bridge Park, the new location will kick off its inaugural season with Donmar Warehouse's all-female production of Henry IV on Nov. 6, with Harriet Walter and directed by Phyllida Lloyd. Performances will run through Dec. 6.

The season will launch with opening celebrations on Oct. 17, beginning with an open house. Special events and performances will run through Oct. 25. Click here for more information

The new home is a collaborative effort between St. Ann’s founder and artistic director Susan Feldman, Marvel Architects PLLC, development manager DBI Projects, British theatre consultants Charcoalblue, landscape architects Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, and a team of designers, expert engineers and preservation consultants.

"It’s a dream come true and a blessing to know that culture will play a leading role in perpetuity as part of Brooklyn Bridge Park and the New York waterfront," said Feldman in a press statement. "We won’t be trading in goods, as in the Tobacco Warehouse’s industrial past, but thanks to our board, the City, the Park, and the many friends who shared this dream, we will be trading in arts and performances for years to come."

"By transforming this historic warehouse into a new theater, St. Ann’s is both preserving history and adapting to the changing needs of New York," added Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito, speaking of the building that holds a 150-year history. Founded in 1980, St. Ann's has been a home to acclaimed theatrical performances from around the globe. For more information visit StAnnsWarehouse.
