Just a glimpse at some of the insane characters I play. Wigs are FUN!
Lauren Molina, the Broadway actress who is also part of the underwear-clad musical group The Skivvies, plays Audrey.
She is joined by Kev Abrams (Puppeteer), Ari Butler (Seymour), Hallie Bulleit (Urchin/bassist), Larry Cahn (Mr. Mushnik), Brittany Campbell (Urchin/guitarist), Eddie Cooper (Voice of the Plant), Kate Ferber (assistant musical director/Urchin/keyboardist), Injoy Fountain (Urchin/drummer), Alanna Saunders (Urchin/vocalist) and Joey Taranto (Orin). Cooper was part of this past summer's City Center production of Little Shop, featuring original star Ellen Greene and Jake Gyllenhaal.
Amanda Dehnert directs and choreographs the production.
"Seymour is a nerdy floral clerk with a knack for plants, but not much else," according to press notes. "However, one peculiar plant he’s tending might just be his ticket to fame, fortune—and the girl of his dreams. There’s only one teeny — but ‘growing’ — problem: This plant has an unquenchable thirst for the red stuff (type O, A, or B... he’s not picky)."
The creative team also includes assistant director Jude Sandy, scenic designer Philip Witcomb, costume designer Melissa Torchia, lighting designer Brian Gale, sound designer Josh Horvath, puppet designer Phantom Limb, wig designer Wigs And Whiskers, stage manager John Godbout and assistant stage manager Jennifer Caster. Casting is by Geoff Josselson/Calleri Casting.
