It's time to dip a curtsy as the current cast of Broadway's SIX—including the last of the remaining original queens—takes a final bow. The Tudor pop musical's original cast members Brittney Mack, Andrea Macasaet, and Samantha Pauly along with Bre Jackson, Brennyn Lark, and Keri René Fuller play their final performances as the Renaissance royals December 4.
Playing the renamed Lena Horne Theatre, Six also says goodbye December 4 to alternates Mallory Maedke, Nicole Kyoung-Mi Lambert, Courtney Mack, and Keirsten Hodgens. New alternates Holli’ Conway and Ayla Ciccone-Burton, who joined in July, are remaining with the show.
Mack and Macasaet both announced their departures prior to an official announcement, released via Instagram. It's a surprisingly short reign for some of the Queens, as Jackson, Lark, and Fuller were welcomed to the cast in July.
Soon to take up the royal mantle are Broadway alums Hailee Kaleem Wright (Paradise Square) as Catherine of Aragon, Leandra Ellis-Gaston (Tina: The Tina Turner Musical) as Anne Boleyn, Nasia Thomas (Caroline, or Change) as Anna of Cleves, Zoe Jensen (Dear Evan Hansen) as Katherine Howard, and Taylor Iman Jones (Head Over Heels) as Catherine Parr, with Bella Coppola (Kinky Boots) as Jane Seymour in her Broadway debut. New alternates are Marilyn Caserta, Kristina Leopold, and Aubrey Matalon.
Six, created by Tony winners Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, follows the six wives of King Henry VIII of England in a historical remix that turns the Tudor royals into pop queens. Marlow and Moss won the 2022 Tony Award for Best Original Score, and the show's costume designer Gabriella Slade took home the award for Best Costume Design.
Six is co-directed by Moss and Jamie Armitage. The production features set design by Emma Bailey, costume design by Gabrielle Slade, lighting design by Tim Deiling, and sound design by Paul Gatehouse. Kenny Wax, Wendy and Andy Barnes, George Stiles, and Kevin McCollum serve as its producers on Broadway.
