News Sing-Along Version of "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" Heading to Cinemas To celebrate the 40th anniversary of "Monty Python and the Holy Grail," a sing-along version of the film will be released in the U.K. in October and subsequently in the U.S., according to Variety.

Park Circus and Sony Pictures are joining forces for the U.K. release, which will arrive in 500 cinemas for one-night only Oct. 14. Accompanying the screening will be a filmed introduction that features Terry Jones, Terry Gilliam, Michael Palin, Eric Idle and John Cleese.

Rainbow Releasing will handle the U.S. release, although a date has yet to be announced. A Blu-ray version of the film will be released by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment this fall.

The 1975 film served as the basis for the Tony-winning musical Monty Python's Spamalot which has a book by Idle and music by John Du Prez. The late Mike Nichols directed the production, which won three 2005 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
