The raunchy comedy is the first movie musical from Everything Everywhere All At Once studio A24. The work is based on Sharp and Jackson's stage musical Fucking Identical Twins, which debuted at NYC's Upright Citizens Brigade in 2014. Jackson and Sharp reprise their stage performances as a pair of long-lost twins who work to trick their separated parents into rekindling their romance. Lane and Mullally co-star as those parents in the film adaptation.

The project features original songs by Sharp, Jackson, and Karl Saint Lucy. Larry Charles (Borat) directs.
