The album will include songs by Rodgers and Hammerstein and Lerner and Loewe and will be recorded with McFarlane singing to a live orchestra on analog tape, in the style of classic albums by singers of the era like Frank Sinatra and Rosemary Clooney.
Apparently to prove he had the goods, McFarlane performed the chestnut "You're the Cream in My Coffee" on "The Tonight Show" Aug. 5. To enjoy video of his performance, look below:
