The festival showcases workshop performances of in-development shows.

Casting has been announced for the eight musicals to be showcased at London's The Other Palace and Turbine Theatre for MTFestUK 2024, which will be held across both venues January 30-February 11. 

Each musical will be rehearsed before four presentations in workshop format will be offered to audiences.

Paul Taylor Mills, the artistic director at The Other Palace and The Turbine Theatre, said in a statement, “We are thrilled MTFestUK continues to support and showcase such a broad range of new musical theatre writing at both The Other Palace and The Turbine Theatre. Several MTFestUK pieces have gone on to fully staged productions, which is a testament to the function of both theatres to provide space and support to allow new work to be explored.”

A Jaffa Cake Musical will feature Sam Cochrane, Emily Kitchingham, Harry Miller, Alex Prescot, and Katie Pritchard. Both will star Declan Bennett and Nimah Perry. Abey Bradbury, Sam Kearney-Edwardes, and Max Kinder will appear in Tit SwingersPlastered will feature Jacob Fisher, Peter Hannah, Jenna Innes, Miriam-Teak Lee, Gina Murray, Rory O'Malley, Quinn Patrick, and Ian Virgo. Femi Akinfolarin, Laura Baldwin, Jarrad Biron Green, Millicent Blair, Jordan Kai Burnett, Connor Carson, Evangeline Jarvis Jones, Deena Kapdia, Anna MacLeod, and Kingsley Morton are starring in Romy and Michele The MusicalBling will be performed by Roxanne Couch, Rosanna Hyland, Idriss Kargbo, Jessica Lee, and Olivia Mitchell. Starring in Radcliffe will be James Darch, Jess Douglas Welsh, Chris Fung, Jordan Luke Gage, Emma Lindars, and Rebecca Lock. The Garden will feature Chisara Agor, Elinor Machen-Fortune, Jack Matthew, and more to be announced.
