Vineyard Theatre's premiere of Nazareth Hassan's Bowl EP has revealed its complete cast.

The show, which will run May 1-June 8 with an official opening night planned for May 18, is both written and directed by Vineyard Artist-In-Residence Hassan. Featuring music by Free Fool, the piece is a co-production with National Black Theatre, and in association with The New Group.

The story centers on Kelly K Klarkson and Quentavius da Quitter, who need to find a name for their rap group. Through flirty interludes, cringy overshares, and practicing their ollies, they grow increasingly closer as skating collides with every manner of coping mechanism, from smoking and drinking to exorcizing a demon.

Kelly K Klarkson will be played by Essence Lotus (soft), with Oghenero Gbajge (Blood Conscious) as Quentavius da Quitter and Felicia Curry (Into the Woods) as Lemon Pepper Wings. Kalonjee Gallimore (A Beautiful Noise) will serve as the production understudy.

The show will also transform the intimate Off-Broadway venue with an in-the-round, 360-degree design. Overseen by scenic designers Adam Rigg and Anton Volovsek, the new layout will allow for audiences to enjoy intimate view of the performance—which includes live skateboarding and original music—no matter the seat location. Press notes say the setup will make the theatre a "360º skate bowl."

The creative team includes scenic designers Rigg and Volovsek, costume designer DeShon Elem, lighting designer Kate McGee, sound designer Ryan Gamblin, video and projection designer Zavier Taylor, fight choreographer and intimacy director Teniece Divya Johnson, props supervisor Daniel Brothers, rap consultant Judah Girvan, and skateboarding consultant Faheem Allah.
