Casting is now set for the Goodspeed Musicals production of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, which will play the East Haddam, Connecticut, venue November 14–December 28 with an official opening December 3.
Directed by Hunter Foster, the cast will be led by Omar Lopez-Cepero as Bob Wallace, Clyde Alves as Phil Davis, Bruce Sabath as General Henry Waverley, Jonalyn Saxer as Judy Haynes, Lauren Nicole Chapman as Betty Haynes, Aurelia Williams as Martha Watson, and Sofie Nesanelis as Susan Waverly.
The ensemble will feature Sydney Chow, Jeff Gallup, Jasmine Ashanti Gillenwaters, Laura Guley, Jay Aubrey Jones, Linda Neel, Keyon Pickett, Daniel Reardon, Colleen Roberts, and Travis Ward-Osborne. Swings are Rhagan Carter and Brandon J. Morris; Audrey Kravontka will understudy the role of Susan.
White Christmas is based upon the beloved Paramount Pictures film—written for the screen by Norman Krasna, Norman Panama, and Melvin Frank—and has music and lyrics by Irving Berlin and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake. The original stage production was directed by Walter Bobbie.
In the heartwarming musical, two army-buddies-turned-entertainers team up with a singing sister act to save a snowless Vermont inn—and discover love along the way. Songs include “Count Your Blessings,” “Sisters,” and “White Christmas."
The upcoming production will also have choreography by Kelli Barclay, music direction by Adam Souza, scenic design by David L. Arsenault, costume design by Jeff Hendry, with costume coordination by Antonio Consuegra, lighting design by Kirk Bookman, sound design by Jay Hilton, and wigs, hair, and makeup design by J. Jared Janas and Cassie Williams.
Chris Zaccardi will be the production stage manager. Casting is by Paul Hardt/Hardt Casting.
