The concert will take place at the Highline Ballroom in Manhattan. Some 20 cast members of the American Repertory Theatre production of Waitress will sing new arrangements of the singer-songwriter’s greatest pop hits, including “Brave,” “Love Song,” “King of Anything” and “Gravity.” The music will be orchestrated and arranged for string orchestra by Joshua Stephen Kartes.
No music from Waitress will be included.
Broadway previews for Waitress, directed by Diane Paulus, are scheduled to begin in March at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.
Previous shows in the "Broadway Sings" series saluted the work of pop stars Adele, Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, Stevie Wonder, Amy Winehouse, Justin Timberlake and P!NK.
A full lineup of performers will be announced in the coming weeks.
