Who would have thought that the Food Network would provide one of the first sneak peeks at the upcoming movie musical "Nine"?
On the July 18 broadcast of "Barefoot Contessa" — the cooking program hosted by Ina Garten — Garten visited "Nine" director Rob Marshall at a Hamptons home as he and John DeLuca were editing the movie musical. The episode, entitled "Barefoot to Go," provided a brief clip of the film as Garten delivered both breakfast and lunch to the hungry filmmakers.
The food? Homemade granola bars for breakfast and lentil vegetable soup and grilled tuna rolls for lunch. The episode repeats July 21 at 5 PM ET, Aug. 4 at 1:30 PM ET and Aug. 30 at 10 AM; visit footdnetwork.com.
"Nine," which is scheduled to arrive in theatres Nov. 25, stars two-time Oscar winner Daniel Day-Lewis as film director Guido Contini.
