A private industry reading of Ricky Dunlop's new play David and Goliath! will be held at Ripley-Grier Studios February 12-13. Danny Salles is directing.
Described in press notes as a dark comedy, the work follows an actor on the night she wins the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, setting off a chaotic romp involving a jealous ex-husband, a backstabbing friend, and over-eager press.
Starring will be Laura Bell Bundy (Legally Blonde), Briga Heelan (Once Upon a One More Time), Maurice Williams (Entergalactic), and Oscar Williams (Fun Home). Casting is by Eisenberg Casting's Daryl Eisenberg. Visceral Entertainment is serving as general manager. Ian McQueen will stage manage.
