The reviews are rolling in for Larissa FastHorse's The Thanksgiving Play, which officially opened on April 20 at Second Stage's Helen Hayes Theater after beginning previews on March 25. The 10-week limited engagement will continue through June 4.
Emmy nominee D'Arcy Carden (in her Broadway debut), Tony winner Katie Finneran (Promises, Promises), Scott Foley (The Violet Hour), and Emmy nominee Chris Sullivan (Nice Work if You Can Get It) star in the ensemble comedy about four white people trying to devise a traditional Thanksgiving pageant for children that honors Native Americans. Mollie Fink, Dasan Turner, Ishan De Silva, and Atticus Scott-Williamson appear as High School Children in filmed scenes, and the company is rounded out by understudies Christopher Ryan Grant, Clea Alsip, and Amy Staats. Tony-winning Hadestown director Rachel Chavkin helms the production.

The creative team includes scenic design by Riccardo Hernandez, costume design by Lux Haac, lighting design by Jeanette Oui-Suk Yew, sound design by Mikaal Sulaiman, and video/projection design by David Bengali. Casting is by Telsey + Co.
