Anne McCabe directs the film, which takes audiences inside the Tony-winning actor's career. It features footage of Menzel on Broadway in Rent, in Wicked, and her 2018 Madison Square Garden concert appearance. The project is a collaboration between Disney Branded Television and Ideal Partners, with the latter's Rachel Cohen and Jana Edelbaum producing.
Which Way to the Stage? is the latest Menzel-related Disney project, following her performances in Frozen and Enchanted, as well as their subsequent sequels.
