Directed by Taylor Reynolds, the Tori Sampson world premiere plays the Vineyard Theatre.

The world premiere of Tori Sampson's This Land Was Made opened Off-Broadway at Vineyard Theatre June 4, and the reviews are rolling in! Directed by Taylor Reynolds, the production began previews May 18.

The production stars Antoinette Crowe-Legacy as Sassy, Leland Fowler as Drew, Matthew Griffin as Troy, Sean Patrick Higgins as Officer Heanes, Yasha Jackson as Gail, Ezra Knight as Mr. Far, Julian Elijah Martinez as Huey, Curt Morlaye as Gene, and Oliver Palmer as Officer Frey.

Set in a bar in Oakland in 1967, the new play looks at a time when the city was a powder keg of social activism ready to boil over into radical action.
