A private industry reading of Kyle Taylor Parker's Shop Boys, A Family Dramedy in Four Shifts is presented February 21 at The Harvey Fierstein Theatre Lab at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.

Directed by Colin Hanlon, the cast features Parker (Kinky Boots, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) as well as Jimmy Ray Bennett, Leana Rae Concepcion, Zach Cossman, Marjorie Johnson, Cedric Leiba Jr., Orville Mendoza, Eliseo Román, Kyle Scatliffe, Payton Thomas, and Kate Wetherhead. Casting is by Kevin Metzger-Timson of The TRC Company.

Stage directions will be read by Devon McCleskey.

A workplace comedy set in a men’s clothing store, Shop Boys centers around a dysfunctional crew of high-end retail employees working together to survive family feuds, outsized dreams, and the holiday season.

Joel Glassman serves as general manager, and Karlie Teruya is the production stage manager.
