Max Wolf Friedlich's Job—which enjoyed critically acclaimed Off-Broadway engagements at the SoHo Playhouse in fall 2023 and subsequently at the Connelly Theatre this past winter—will transfer to Broadway with its original cast later this summer.
Tony nominee Peter Friedman (Ragtime, Succession) and Sydney Lemmon (TÁR, Helstrom) will again star in the psychological thriller, directed by Michael Herwitz, who helmed the Off-Broadway world premiere. Previews will begin July 15 at the Hayes Theater prior to an official opening July 30 for a limited engagement through September 29.

The play follows Jane (Lemmon), an employee at a big tech company who has been placed on leave after becoming the subject of a viral video. She arrives in the office of crisis therapist Loyd (Friedman) determined to be reinstated to the job that gives her life meaning.
The production will also feature scenic design by Scott Penner, costume design by Michelle J. Li, lighting design by Mextly Couzin, and sound design by Cody Spencer.
Rachel A. Zucker will serve as production stage manager, while ShowTown Theatricals/Samuel Dallas will serve as the general manager. Hannah Getts is the dramaturg.
Job was nominated for the Outer Critics Circle’s John Gassner Award for playwright Friedlich.
