Michael McElroy made his Broadway debut in The High Rollers Social and Pleasure Club. He has since appeared in numerous productions, both on and off Broadway, and in 2004 was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for Big River. He has also been nominated for Drama Desk Awards for Violet and Big River. In 1995, McElroy appeared in the premier performance of John Adams' opera I Was Looking at the Ceiling and Then I Saw the Sky in Berkeley, California. In 1999, McElroy became the founder and director of the Broadway Inspirational Voices, a diverse, non-denominational gospel choir made up of Broadway singers. He currently teaches in the New Studio on Broadway at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
Maia N'Kenge Wilson in 1996, she served as an understudy for Joanne Jerfferson in the musical Rent, and as a replacement for "the woman with bags", Mrs. Jerfferson, and the ensemble. She worked on the musical for twelve years.In 2005, she played three roles in the musical, The Color Purple: Church Lady/Jarene, Ensemble, and Daisy. She served there for three years, in both the 2008 World Premiere in Los Angeles and on Broadway in 2009. Wilson was a performer in 9 to 5: The Musical & Shrek. Marva Hicks played the role of Rafiki in The Lion King, and Caroline or Change, in the role of The Radio, to her Broadway credits. She was directed by Tony Award winner, Ruben Santiago Hudson, in the Off-Broadway production of The First Breeze of Summer at the Signature Theatre. Nationally, Marva appeared in the world premiere production of The Women of Brewster Place, in the role of Etta Mae for which she received Atlanta’s Suzi Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical. In a rare Jazz and Blues adaptation of Porgy and Bess, she played the role of Bess and received the B. Iden Payne Award in Austin, TX. Having appeared in five productions at Arena Stage in Washington, DC, including Crowns, Charles Randolph Wright’s Cuttin’ Up and most recently Sophisticated Ladies, starring Broadway legend, Maurice Hines, she is currently commissioned by Arena Stage to create and star in a solo musical piece about her journey in show business as a woman of faith. Her film credits include, Assunder, starring Blair Underwood and Virtuosity, starring Denzel Washington and the star studded film, Preachin’ to the Choir. As a gospel singer, Marva is a featured vocalist on the Broadway Inspirational Voices Choir’s Christmas CD, Great Joy.
Marisha Wallace She got her big break starring in the break out role of Ado Annie in Oklahoma, where she recieved a Drammy Award for Best Actress in a Musical. She then went on to be cast in the First National Tour of the Tony Award Winning Musical The Book of Mormon. After a year on the road, she left the tour with a new opportunity in hand. She went back to NYC to fulfill her dream of being on Broadway. She is currently in the original broadway company of the five-time Tony nominated musical Disney's Aladdin where she originated the role of the Fortune Teller. In Jan 2015 you will be able to hear Marisha's voice on the sequel to Disney's Frozen, Frozen Fever. AishaI de Haas is currently on the National Tour of Newsies. Road Show at the Public Theater. Other appearances include Birdland Jazz Club, The York Theater, The Goodman Theater, The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, Orchestra Hall, Town Hall and several performances with the Broadway Inspirational Voices. Clifton Davis Clifton Davis is an award-winning veteran of stage, screen and television. He’s thrilled to originate the Sultan on Broadway. He’s been in seven Broadway shows, was nominated for a Tony® Award and just finished the Broadway tour of Wicked. Films: Any Given Sunday, Cover, Soldiers of Change and Halloweentown High.
