Meghan Kennedy's The Counter officially opened Off-Broadway at Roundabout's Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center October 9. The play, which began previews September 20, is a recipient of an Edgerton Foundation New Play Award. Now in its final four weeks, the production is set to continue performances through November 17.
David Cromer directs the work about an unlikely friendship between a waitress and a diner regular. The cast features Anthony Edwards as Paul, Amy Warren as Peg, and Susannah Flood as Katie. Read the reviews here.

The Counter features set design by Walt Spangler, costume design by Sarah Laux, lighting design by Stacey Derosier, and sound design by Christopher Darbassie. The production stage manager is Richard Hodge.
