News PHOTO CALL: Tyne Daly Stars in Terrence McNally's Master Class in the West End Tyne Daly began performances Jan. 21 in Terrence McNally's Master Class, reprising the role of Maria Callas that she played in Washington, DC, and on Broadway last year, at the West End's Vaudeville Theatre. The production opens officially Feb. 7, for a 14-week run through April 28.

Daly is joined on stage by Gerard Carey (Stagehand), Jeremy Cohen (Emmanuel Weinstock), Naomi O’Connell (Sharon Graham), Dianne Pilkington (Sophie De Palma) and Garrett Sorenson (Anthony Candolino).

According to press notes, "Terrence McNally’s play about Maria Callas takes audiences to one of her famous master classes, where, late in her own career, she dares the next generation to make the same sacrifices and rise to the same heights that made her the most celebrated, the most reviled and the most controversial singer of her time."
