The evening features Broadway stars sharing their "big break" moments in story and song, as well as an award presentation to Whitman, who receives the Transporting American Theatre Award from playwright Moises Kaufman (The Laramie Project) for her contributions to the American theatre.

Hosted by Julie Halston (You Can’t Take It With You), the evening features performances from Alice Ripley (Next to Normal), Lindsay Mendez (Dogfight), Michael Cerveris (Fun Home), Lisa Kron (Fun Home) and Heather MacRae (I Remember Mama).
