Peter Morgan’s Patriots will transfer to the West End's Noël Coward Theatre for a limited 12-week engagement May 26–August 19, 2023, following its sold-out run at the Almeida Theatre. The play will officially open June 6 at the London venue.
BAFTA winner Tom Hollander and Will Keen will reprise their roles as Boris Berezovsky and Vladimir Putin, respectively, along with Luke Thallon (Albion) as Abramovich. Further casting will be announced shortly.
The work takes place in 1992 during the fall of the Soviet Union and explores the real-life story of ambition and betrayal through businessman Berezovsky's journey from the president's confidant to public enemy. Playwright Morgan is best known for serving as the creator and showrunner of Netflix's The Crown.
