The original cast recording of Graham Lappin's Climb Way Up, seen at Manchester’s Hope Mill Theatre last year, will be released October 1 on all digital platforms.
Joining composer Lappin on the recording are cast members Anna Stolli, Alex Cosgriff, and Sarah Pearson.
With a score by Lappin, the contemporary song cycle explores the impact of a pivotal moment in four people’s pasts, which affects the rest of their lives.
Arrangements and musical direction are by Tom Piezcora. The artists are backed by Piezcora on piano, Rachel Newbold on cello, Emily MacArthur on reeds, and Edgar Langley on guitar.
The recording was made this past summer at Green Velvet Studios.
