Online auditions are now open for Triple Arts, the three-week musical theatre intensive designed by Tony-nominated Artistic Directors Terrence Mann and Charlotte d'Amboise.
The intensive training, which will run July 14–August 3 at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina, gives aspiring performers the chance to work one-on-one with industry professionals. Watch a video about the program above.
Each summer, Mann and d'Amboise gather and mentor a company of young artists at the Western Carolina University campus, where they are joined by fellow Broadway performers to help train the next generation to become triple threats.
D’Amboise said in a statement, “Ultimately, as a kid, I danced mostly. I always felt that I never sang or acted enough—I wasn't exposed to it. In this program, everybody does everything. Even if you aren't an experienced actor, think you can't sing or worry about your dance technique, by the end of the program you are doing all three, hopefully feeling like you can conquer anything and be whatever you want!”
Designed for both high school and college students, Triple Arts company members learn insights on audition techniques, song interpretation, scene study, dance techniques, and Broadway repertory. The intensive culminates in a final performance of 15–20 production numbers featuring the entire company.
Online auditions are open now through April 1. All applicants ages 15-22 will be considered. Visit TripleArts.com to learn more.
