The Signature Theatre presentation of Old Hats, which ran first in 2013 and subsequently in 2016, will be broadcast on THIRTEEN—the PBS station covering the New York area—June 13. The presentation is part of the channel’s Theater Close-Up series, which captures Off-Broadway and regional theatre performances.

An encore presentation will air June 15 at 1:30 AM; the filmed production will also be presented on WLIW21 June 25 at 9 PM.

Old Hats is the brainchild of Tony winners Bill Irwin and David Shiner. In the play, the two present a series of classic and technology-infused vaudevillian sketches. Tina Landau directs the production, which also features music and performances by composer Shaina Taub.

The broadcast was directed for the screen by David Horn.

Recent Theatre Close-Up broadcasts include The Woodsman at New World Stages, The New Group’s revival of Buried Child, Buyer & Cellar at Westport Country Playhouse, and the Arena Stage production of The Originalist.
