Abe Koogler's newest play, Staff Meal, which began performances at Playwrights Horizons April 12, officially opens Off-Broadway April 28. The play will run through May 19.

Directed by Morgan Green, the play centers on a group of solitary city folk who are searching for connection and comfort as the world falls apart. Set in a mysterious restaurant, a group of servers is trying to keep the friendly service and tasty food coming—at least until the restaurant is no longer a safe haven at closing time.

Staff Meal stars Jess Barbagallo (The Trees) as Server, Stephanie Berry (the bandaged place), Susannah Flood (Mr. Burns) as Mina, Carmen M. Herlihy (The Apiary) as Server, Hampton Fluker (All My Sons) as Waiter, Greg Keller (The Thanksgiving Play) as Ben, Erin Markey (Dr. Ride’s American Beach House) as Vagrant, and Coral Peña (BLKS) as Server.

The creative team includes scenic designer Jian Jung, assistant director Adrian Costa, costume designer Kaye Voyce, lighting designer Masha Tsimring, sound designer Tei Blow, and illusion designer Steve Cuiffo. The production stage manager is Ryan Gohsman, and the assistant stage manager is Ashton Pickering.
