A new U.K. and Ireland tour of Ken Ludwig’s adaptation of the Agatha Christie classic Murder on the Orient Express will launch September 6-14 at the Lowry in Salford.
Directed by Lucy Bailey, the tour will continue through 2025, playing its final engagement at the Brighton Theatre Royal April 22-26, 2025. Casting will be announced at a later date.
Murder on the Orient Express is set in 1934 as an avalanche stops the Orient Express and an American tycoon lies dead in his compartment, stabbed eight times, his door locked from the inside. With a killer still on board, the world’s most famous detective, Hercule Poirot, hopes to crack the case before the train reaches its final destination.
The upcoming tour will also have design by Mike Britton and lighting design by Oliver Fenwick.
